Unveiled 13th November 1921 by the Duke of Northumberland. Dedicated by the Rev. Canon Blackett Ord, Archdeacon of Northumberland.
Memorial Description
Stained glass window of three lights, forming the great East Window, depicting the Calvary group with the text "Son, behold Thy mother".. The centre light shows Christ Crucified, with the words "Father into Thy hands I commend my spirit" in a scroll over his head. The left hand light shows Mary looking towards the cross, with the words "I if I be lifted up from the earth" in a red panel above her head. In the right hand light is St.John also gazing at the cross, and over his head is a red panel with the words "will draw all men unto me" which completes the text from the other side. There are two angels in the small panes above.
