Memorial Description
Memorial Chapel, particularly to the 6th Batt. D.L.I.
Part of the old church has been made into a tiny chapel by enclosing a carved oak altar inside low carved railings. The altar has a traceried top, and on its front is a cross inside a circle raised in half relief. In front of the latter, and leaning against it, is a series of hassocks with the badges of the armed forces in tapestry.
Contained within the chapel is a photograph of King George V and Lord Byng standing close to the Butte de Warlencourt Cross raised in memory on site to the 6th Batt.
Another photograph illustrates the 151 Brigade Memorial relating to the action at Primosole Bridge in 1939-45
On the window sill is a piece of Trench Art with Ypres on the front. The vase is made from a German shell.
