Memorial Description

Roll of honour in plain wood frame, 61cm high x 44.5cm wide. The Roll is hand painted, with an elaborate wide border of leaves. The "G" of "Greater" at the top and "Grant" at the bottom have been illuminated as in a medieval manuscript. To the left of the names is a tree. The whole text is handwritten using Gothic script, most lettering is in black, the words "Great European War" are in red, and the capitals of the names are in brown, as are the words "Roll of Honour".

Grant them, Lord, eternal rest, / and let light perpetual shine / upon them.
