Memorial Description

Plaque 4 feet high x 6 feet wide (1.2m x 1.82m). At the top is the company badge with a scroll on which the words “Roll of Honour” and the dates of the two great wars are carved and gilded. On the ends of the scroll there are badges of the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy. There is a cabled border carved round the whole plaque. The main plaque is divided into five panels bearing the names, each of which has been carved in serif capitals. The names of the vessels in which they served are painted blue. The quotation at the bottom is in raised gilded Roman capitals.
