a. Unveiled December 1921 by Brig.Gen. Surtees. Dedicated by the Vicar of Eldon.

Memorial Description

Cross of Latin type on tapering pedestal standing on a step, total height 8 feet 6 inches. The front of the pedestal has a polished plaque 1 foot 7 inches high, tapering from 2 feet wide to 1 foot 5 inches wide, which bears the dedication and names. The lettering is in sans serif capitals, incised and leaded.
There is another polished plaque leaning against the base which bears the dedication for 1939-45.
The whole is set in a small area with gate and iron railings, with two small flower holders.
