Memorial Description

Triptych in form of wooden case, with a pitched roof style top and two folding doors. In the gable top are the words “For God, King and Country” painted in gold lettering with black shadowing. At the bottom, below the doors, is the dedication, painted in black capitals. Inside, the centre panel has a brass cross with the words “Greater love hath no man than this” on either side of the top, painted in faded gold letters with black shadowing. The names of those who died are listed on either side of the cross with the words “The Heroic Dead” underneath, to the left of which is a gold star. The names of those who served are listed on the insides of the doors in black painted lettering.

Due to the condition of the memorial, a framed transcript has been made and placed underneath.
