This building has been demolished. The location of the memorial is unknown.

Notes

1. “A memorial service to men of Franklin, Nansen and Blackett Streets, Jarrow, who fell in the war was held at St. Aidan’s Church, Jarrow, last night, at which two flags, the White Ensign and Union Jack, provided by the relatives, friends and congregation, assisted by Mr. Hugh Golder, J.P. were hung in the chancel. The service was conducted by Mr. Norris, jun., a lay reader, who received the flags from Mr. J. Rowell, churchwarden. Memorial tablets were also hung underneath the flags.” Northern Echo

2. “During the Second World War St. Aidan’s Mission Church was badly damaged during an air raid and was closed in 1941.” Methodist Recorder 14/09/2000
