Roll of Honour. In top two corners is the school badge, with the name of the school and the words “Roll of Honour” beneath. At the bottom is a shadowed frame bearing the quotation in italics. The names are listed in four columns, printed using Roman capitals throughout.

1. On the copy sent to this survey, one of the names has been crossed out, whilst another has been crossed out with query marks beside it.

2. In the Penrith Methodist Church Hall, Wordsworth Street (Cumbria) is a plaque recording the stay there of the pupils from R.G.S. as evacuees in 1939-45.

3. The name Howe, W.A.R. should be Howie, W.A.R.
