(Dedicated to 144 members of the Congregation who served, including four ladies). TRANSCRIPT NEEDED.
How money was raised
Donated by Mrs. David Low as a thanksgiving for the conclusion of the war and the safe return of her son.

Shields Daily News 03/01/1921 reports unveiling
Hexham Courant 31/01/1920 gives a press report of the AGM when Mrs. Low offered to give the Roll of Honour in thanks- giving for the safe return of her son. 08/01/1921 gives a report of the unveiling ceremony.
Church Minutes record the fact that Mrs. Low intended to give to the church a complete list, on parchment, of the names of all church members who had gone on active service.
Illustrated Chronicle 03/01/1921 reports placing in position in the porch by Col. Riddell.
