Memorial Description
Stained glass window. "The design is dominated by a representation of each young man and incorporates smaller pictures of school and home, war scenes and regimental insignia."
Left hand light has (top to bottom) Eton College; refugees fleeing; soldier in uniform with “Captain Henry Basil Knott” below; at bottom is the badge of the Northumberland Fusiliers.
Right hand light has (top to bottom) Close House (the family home); battle scene; soldier in uniform with “Major James Leadbitter Knott” below; at bottom is the badge of the West Yorkshire Regiment.
Left hand light has (top to bottom) Eton College; refugees fleeing; soldier in uniform with “Captain Henry Basil Knott” below; at bottom is the badge of the Northumberland Fusiliers.
