Memorial Description

Plaque of classic surround with plain panel. The dedication starts in the top border. The names are listed in two columns, with the dedication carrying on below. The lettering is in Roman script. There are two cylindrical flower vases on either side, each with a wreath raised in half relief on the front.

Brown marble surround, white marble panel.

In honoured memory of / (names) / Associated with this church who gave their lives for / right and freedom in the great war 1914-1918. Greater love hath no man than this.

1. Rev. Raw, who unveiled the plaque, was a missionary from India, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Raw of North Shields, formerly of Waterhouses.
