1. The name “T. Fairbain” is “T. Fairbairn”

2. Stanley Renwick on this memorial is the M. Renwick on the town memorial. Michael Renwick was in service before the War, but there were three others also called Michael so he became known as Stanley. (Margaret Sutherland source).

3. Hallider should read Halliday

4. Harry Bailey has been identified as Harry Bucknell Bailey

5. This Roll of Honour used to be mounted just within the entrance on a pillar, which was the oldest part of the club premises.

6. There were 530 members the Osborne Workmen's Club, of whom 217 joined the Army and 13 made the supreme sacrifice.
