Plaque 12 inches high x 16 inches wide, very plain. The names are listed in three columns. The letters are painted on in white, using Roman capitals throughout.

1. The school became Princess Louise County Secondary School. After the school was demolished in 1990, the plaque was kept by the Blyth Local History Society until rehoused in the Library.

2. “It was during the second world war we all used to sing with gusto the following song (whilst Miss Tunney accompanied us on the piano): “All men must be free / March for liberty with me! / Brutes and braggarts may have their little day. / We shall never bow the knee. / God is drawing his sword - / We are marching with the Lord - / Sing then brothers sing, giving everything, / All you are and hope to be , / To set the people free.”
