Unveiled in new location 21st June 2006 by Ashington Civic Head Cllr. Thomas Roll; Rededicated by Rev. David Palmer of St.John’s Church.

Memorial Description

Plaque approx. 18 inches high x 30 inches wide with beaded border decoration, otherwise plain.
The lettering is raised Roman capitals.

Notes

1. In the original building, the plaque was placed on the landing at the meeting of the two flights of stairs from the ground floor. It was later moved onto the wall of the stairwell opposite, where it also had a vase alongside. It was then moved to the foot of the stairs. In 1999 it was replaced in its original position.
