Unveiled 19th September 2015 by the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, the Mayor of Gateshead and James Ramsbotham, dedicated by Rev. Canon Glyn Evans.
Memorial Description
Two seats of metal strips featuring a silhouette scene at the back of fighting soldiers and barbed wire. To the right are red poppies. On the end of the seat is a small plaque which gives the dedication.

Notes
1. The creation of the seats was made possible by the generous support of various bodies who had donated towards the costs of the printed book and the raising of a memorial plaque on the church at Authuile on the Somme in France which was unveiled on 27th June 2015 by the Mayor of Authuile.
2. Two further seats were unveiled on the same day in Gateshead. See
G139.24.
