Plaque 10 inches x 5 inches on a wood pattress 14 inches x 9 inches. At the top is the badge of the D.L.I. mounted separately. The plaque itself has rounded ends. Lettering is in sans serif capitals.

Notes
1. This campaign was the last to be fought by 1st D.L.I. before it was amalgamated into the Light Infantry.
2. Pte. Griffiths’ family had wanted his name to be added to the 1914-18 war memorial, but this was not possible, and the separate plaque was erected instead.
