F/Off. Rossignol was serving with 20 Operational Training Unit. He was a crew member of Wellington 1C M1701 which took off from Lossiemouth on a training exercise. The aircraft crashed at Pigdon near Morpeth, following what was described as an explosion. F.O Rossignol was from Washington, DC and was serving with the Volunteer Reserve.
