On the Tyne Cot Memorial, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the name of 3965 Lance Corporal Thomas Davidson, serving with the 21st (Tyneside Scottish) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 17/10/1917.

Morpeth Herald 30/11/1917 carries a brief obituary:
Official news has been received that Lance-Corporal Davidson was killed in action on Oct. 17th. He was one of the first in Morpeth to join Kitchener’s Army. He was eleven months at the Dardanelles, and was there at the evacuation. He was twice wounded in France. He was a grandson of the late Mary Hills.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he formerly served with the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry with the service no. 32278.
