Twitchin, G., Fus., 1940
On the Dunkirk Memorial, France is the name of 4271030 Fusilier George Twitchin, 7th Battalion Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, who died between 28/05/1940 and 30/05/1940.

He was the son of George and Beatrice Mary Twitchin, of Stobhillgate, Morpeth, Northumberland.

George Twitchin is remembered in Morpeth on M17.01 and in the Regimental Book of Remembrance page 20 which states incorrectly that he died in Italy.
