In Warlencourt British Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 290306 Private Herbert Goward, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 14/11/1916.

John Hardy has provided the following:

The son of John and Emma Goward of West Chevington Crescent, he was born and enlisted at Chevington.
