Dalby, J.. Cpl., 1915
On Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial is the name of 1447 Corporal James Dalby, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 26/04/1915.

Soldiers Died in the Great War states that he was born in Eston, Yorks, and enlisted in "Chevington, Suffolk"

Patrick Easen reports that Northumberland Record Office Ref. NRO 8703/1-4 contains an original scroll and a very fragile Memorial poster, both bearing the name of Cpl. James Dalby.
