Forrester, J., Spr., wounded 1917
The Whitley Seaside Chronicle and Visitors Gazette 20/10/1917 reports:

"Local casualties

Mr. and Mrs. Forrester, Gardener's Lodge, Convalescent Home, Whitley Bay, have received news from the War Office that their son, Sapper James Forrester, R.E. No 107657, has been severely wounded in action on September 19th, and is now lying in hospital in Glasgow."
