On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Steward Julius Charles Wedderkop, serving with the Mercantile Marine who died 26/12/1914.

In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is a headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
Winifred Wedderkopp
who died Nov. 15th 1945 aged 68 years
Also her beloved husband
Charles, killed by enemy action
Dec. 27th 1914 aged 43 years
Rest in Peace

He is remembered in Tynemouth on T36.14 page 38 and on our List of Ships’ crews
