Hunter, A., Pte., 1939-45
Arthur Hunter was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hunter of North Shields and grandson of Mrs. F. Sawyer, 34 Laburnum Avenue, Ridges Estate, North Shields. He went to the Ralph Gardner School. He then worked at a factory in Birmingham.

He was wounded in Normandy and was sent to the West of England to recuperate.
