In Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Alfred George Mordue, serving with the Royal Engineers who died 8/7/1917.

In Longbenton (Benton) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory
of
Edward Pickering
born March 4th 1841 died March 4th 1914
aged 73 years.
And of Isabella Pickering
wife of the above
born October 11th 1851 died August 4th 1924
aged 72 years
And of Ann Mordue
who passed over on November 8th 1927
aged 52 years
daughter of the above and widow of the late
Lieut. A.G. Mordue
killed in France July 1917.
