In St.John's Churchyard Killingworth is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 23828 Private James Robson, serving with the Coldstream Guards, who died 15/08/1918.

The family headstone reads:-

Private George Robson

who died Nov 14th 1918
aged 30 years

Isabella + George Robson

Their lives was (sic) short and sweet
But now they're gone to rest

George Robson was born in 1888. Lived in 6, Whitfield Buildings, Benton Lane, Westmoor, Northumberland in 1918.
