The Nottingham Evening Post 09/03/1945 carries this death notice:

HEWITT – March 8th, Corpl. Arthur (R.A.F.), aged 26, died suddenly at Newcastle. Dearly loved and sadly missed by sorrowing mam, dad, sister, brother, and fiancée Lilian, of 462 Beechdale Road.
