Dobinson, R., Pte., 1917
In The Huts Cemeteery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 10096 Private Robert Dobinson, serving with the 4th (Pioneers) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 01/10/1917.

He was the son of Mary Alice and the late Joseph Dobinson, of 10 Plessey Road, New Delaval.

Morpeth Herald 26/10/1917 carries the following:

Two young soldiers belonging to New Delaval, have paid the supreme penalty in France, [one of whom was] Private R. Dobinson, N.F., son of Mr Joseph Dobinson, Double Row.

Robert Dobinson is remembered in New Delaval on N51.01 and at Blyth on B42.24
