Killed in action 18th Oct. 1943
Aged 19 years.

Sgt. Sutherland was killed when Avro Lancaster III DV159 HW-J of 100 Squadron was lost on a mission to Hanover. The Lancaster crashed at Bruntorf, with the loss of all seven crew members.
