Arnott, F., 2nd Lieut., 1918

On Pozieres Memorial is the name of Second Lieutenant Frederick Arnott, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 29/03/1918.

In Blyth Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
Henry
the dearly beloved son of
Henry & Ann Arnott
of Newsham
born Feby. 20th 1892
died Novr. 30th 1898
The above Ann Arnott
died Feb. 17th 1920
aged 55 years.
Lieut. Frederick Arnott 11th D.L.I.
their son presumed killed
in action in France
March 29th 1918 aged 22 years
The above
Henry Arnott
died Nov. 14th 1944 aged 80 years.

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.01 and B42.24 and in the D.L.I. Book of Remembrance page 66
