Sherringham, S., Asst.Cook, 1918
On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Assistant Cook Stanley Sherringham, serving with the Mercantile Marine who died 29/06/1918.

An "In Remembrance" notice was placed in Blyth News 04/07/1921 which reads

"Sherringham – In loving memory of Stanley Sherringham, beloved son of W.R. and Georgina Sherringham, of 9 Goschen Street, Blyth, who lost his life at sea through enemy action, June 29th 1918. Ever remembered by his father and mother, brothers and sisters."

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.24 and on our List of Ships’ crews
