In Blyth Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of:

F.W. Raffle
Stoker RNR 7409/S
H.M.S. "Wahine"
10th July 1918 age 24

An "In Remembrance" notice was placed in Blyth News 11/07/1921 which reads:

"Raffle – In loving memory of our dear son, Stoker Fred Raffle, R.N.R., of 98 Percy Street, Blyth, who died in the Naval Hospital, Chatham, July 10th 1918. Always remembered by his father and mother, sister and brothers. Death divides but his memory clings."

He is remembered at Blyth on B42.14 and B42.24 and on our List of Ships’ crews
