Partridge, J.A., Dvr., 1916
In Sarigol Military Cemetery, Kriston, Greece, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 69792 Driver J. Arnold Partridge, serving with the 22nd Division Ammunition Column Royal Field Artillery, who died 16/08/1916.

Morpeth Herald 19/01/1917 carries a brief obituary:

A Blyth man, who was colonising in South Africa, responded to the call to arms for the German East African campaign, has been accidentally killed. He was trooper [sic] J. Arnold Partridge, eldest son of Mr and Mrs James Partridge, of 11 Union Street, Blyth, and was 24 years of age.

He is remembered at Blyth on B42.14, B42.24 and B42.34
