Ferguson, J.H., Pte., 1916
In Adanac Military Cemetery, Miraumont, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 26/901 Private Joseph Howard Ferguson, serving with the 11th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 05/10/1916.

He was the son of William and Jane Ferguson, of 14, Kitty Brewster Square, Blyth.

Morpeth Herald 27/10/1916 carries a brief obituary:

ROLL OF HONOUR

FERGUSON.- Killed in action October 5th, 1916, aged 25 years, Private J.H. Ferguson (901), N.F.- Deeply mourned by his father, mother, brothers, sisters, and all relatives. (Gone but not forgotten).
