On the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the name of 761 Private George Dickinson, serving with the 35th Battalion Australian Infantry, A.I.F., who died 12/10/1917.

Morpeth Herald 23/11/1917 carries a brief obituary:

Private George Dickinson, who was well known in sporting circles in the Newsham district before going to Australia where he joined the Colonial Forces, has died of wounds.

He is remembered at Blyth on B42.24
