Strong, T.W., F/Sgt., 1943
In St. Brisson Communal Cemetery, Nievre, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1114468 Flight Sergeant Thomas William Strong, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 15/02/1943.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

F/Sgt Strong was killed when Avro Lancaster I L7547 EM-M of 207 Squadron was lost on a mission to Milan. The Lancaster suffered an engine fire in the port outer engine on the homeward journey, and crashed at St. Brisson, with the loss of five of the seven crew - the remaining two crew members escaped and evaded capture.

Also killed in the same incident were Sgt. H.G. Bone and Sgt. K. White
