Smith, W.W., Sgt., 1945
In Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1479656 Sergeant William Watts Smith, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 20/02/1945.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

Sgt. Smith was killed when Consolidated Liberator VI KH282 ‘G’ of 358 Squadron was lost on a supply-dropping operation, with the loss of all nine crew members. The Liberator was reported missing on February 20th, and it was found crashed some 15 miles north-west of Baotia, French Indo-China the day after.

Also lost on this aircraft was Fl./Lt. T.A. Brown
