Morrell, A.T.T., Sgt., 1944
On the Runnymede Memorial is the name of 1686362 Sergeant Alan Thompson Tait Morrell, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 25/06/1944.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

Sgt. Morrell was killed when Avro Lancaster III JB460 UL-V2 of 576 Squadron was lost on a mission to attack a flying bomb site near Flers. The Lancaster and its crew of seven were lost without trace.

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.23 and B42.33
