Alongside is a family headstone which reads:

In sweet remembrance of
Esther
dearly loved wife of
Benjamin E. Reay
called to rest 5th October, 1938
aged 30 years
George Parker
brother of the above
died from injuries received
while P.O.W. at Singapore
19th April 1946 aged 36 years.

George Parker is remembered in Blyth on B42.23
