Doran, J., Pte., 1918
In Romeries Communal Cemetery Extension is the Commonwealth War Grave of 15795 Private John Doran, serving with the Somerset Light Infantry, who died 10/10/1918.

The Blyth News 10/10/1921 carries the following:

"Doran – In loving remembrance of my dear husband, signaller John Doran, killed in action, October 10th, 1918. Memory like the ivy clings. Ever remembered by his loving wife (nee Dolly Winship), and sons John and Harold."

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.21 and B42.24 and in Cowpen on C58.01
