In Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille is the Commonwealth War Grave of 10048 Private A.J. Bell, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 09/07/1918.

The Blyth News 11/07/1921 carries the following:

"In Memoriam.
Bell – In loving memory of Pte. A.J. Bell, 9th N.F., who died in France July 9th 1918. Lovingly remembered by his father, mother and brother George."

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.03 and B42.24
