In Longuenesse (St. Omer) Souvenir Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of Captain Charles Noel Ridley, serving with the Northumberland Hussars, who died 07/10/1915.

Morpeth Herald 15/10/1915 carries a brief obituary:

Capt. Charles Noel Ridley, of Park End, Northumberland, who went to France with the Northumberland Hussars in October, 1914, died of wounds in France on Oct. 7th.

The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 16/02/1916 reports on the Probate to his Will. It gives his address as Park End, Wark on Tyne, together with the Knorren Estate.

He is remembered at Newcastle on page 276 of NUT239 at Corbridge on C52.05 at Hexham on H51.35 and at Simonburn on S32.03 S32.04 S32.06 and S32.07
