In Ovillers Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 22/661 Private Thomas Pencott, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 01/07/1916.

Margaret Allison states that he was born in Ashington. His name was found too late to be added to the new memorial there.

He is remembered in Hexham on H51.03 H51.30 and H51.51
