Murray, A.E., Pte., 1917
In Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 10833 Private Albert Edward Murray, serving with the 12th/13th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 16/10/1917.

He was the son of James Murray (Army Vet. Corps) and Harriet Murray, of Hawthorn Cottage, Stakeford Lane, Choppington.

Morpeth Herald 26/10/1917 carries a brief obituary:

ROLL OF HONOUR

MURRAY.- Died of wounds, October 16th, aged 22 years, Private Albert Edward, M.G., Northumberland Fusiliers, the dearly beloved and younger son of Private J. Murray, A.V.C., B.E.F., and Harriet Murray, Hawthorn Cottage, Stakeford Lane, Choppington.- Ever remembered by his loving father, mother, sister Flo, and his youngest brother J. Murray.

He is remembered at Choppington on C36.01 and C36.02
