Richardson, E., A/Smn., 1915
In Pink Farm Cemetery, Helles is the Commonwealth War Grave of Tyneside Z/4505 Able Seaman Edward Richardson, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 19/11/1915.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

Edward was born on 10th March 1894. He was working as a miner living with his father, John at Fenwick Buildings, Choppington when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 15th May 1915.

After being trained as a Bomb Thrower he joined the Hawke Battalion on 21st September 1915. Edward was slightly wounded on 21st October 1915 and rejoined the Hawke Battalion on 23rd October 1915.

Edward was seriously wounded in Gallipoli on 18th November 1915 and died the following day.

He is remembered in Choppington on C36.01 and C36.04
