In Loker Churchyard, Belgium is the Commonwealth War Grave of 14588 Lance Sergeant Snowden Foggan Orange, serving with the 2nd Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 10/09/1915.

Derek Johnstone has provided the following:

Snowden Foggan Orange was born at Bedlington on 13th July 1895. His parents were Joseph Orange, born in Bedlington, and Elizabeth Lewis (Blanche before marriage) born at Hetton le Hole, County Durham.

In 1901, when Snowden was aged 5, his father was a butcher farmer and the family lived at Market Road, Bedlington. At this time there were eleven children in the family, six girls and five boys.

Snowden was living at Meadowdale Farm, Bedlington in 1911 where, age 15, he was a plumber and his father was still a farmer butcher. The following children, all single, are in the family home – John, 27; James, 21; Olivia, 17; Sarah,13 and Mary, 19.

Snowden enlisted at Bedlington when living at Meadowdale Farm which is located on the road west out of Bedlington to Morpeth. He went out to France on the 28th July 1915. On his death his effects went to his father Joseph, indicating he was not married. He was awarded the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and the Victory Medal. Snowden died from his wounds.
