Jordan, J., Pte., 1916
In Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe is the Commonwealth War Grave of 6053 Private Jacob Jordan, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 16/09/1916.

Derek Johnstone has provided the following:

Jacob Jordan was born in 1893 at Bedlington and his father was Jacob Jordan. He married in 1914, Edith M Sawer and they lived at Pit Row, Bedlington when he enlisted at Blyth, Northumberland. In 1911, he was living with his uncle Mr Hedley at Doctor Terrace, Bedlington and was working a coal miner.

He is remembered in Bedlington on B15.02, B15.20 and B15.26 and in the Regimental History
