In Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 19531 Private George Collingwood serving with 10th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 29/01/1916.

Carole Fife has provided the following:

George is the older brother of James who also died in France. George was born in 1890 in Bedlington, the eldest child of Charles and Annie Collingwood. His father was a miner and in 1901 the family were living in Glebe Road, Bedlington. George became a miner like his father. In 1911 he married Ethel Turner and they had a daughter also named Ethel.

He is remembered at Bedlington on B15.02, B15.06, B15.11, B15.16 and B15.26 page 100
