In Busigny Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 207761 Gunner Charles Christie serving with 284th Siege Battery, Royal Field Artillery, who died 12/10/1918.

Charles was born in Bedlington in the summer of 1899 to John and Elizabeth Christie. He had four brothers and one sister and his father was a miner. In 1901 the family lived in Vulcan Place, Bedlington, but by 1911 they had moved to 21 Second Streeet, Netherton Colliery. Charles was only 21 when he died.

He is remembered in Nedderton on N52.01 and in Bedlington on B15.07 and B15.26 page 107
