Bradford, J.J., A/Smn., 1918
On the Arras Memorial is the name of Tyneside Z/2407 Able Seaman John James Bradford, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 25/03/1918.

Carole Fife has provided the following:

John was born 12th May 1893 in Bedlington to John and Alice Bradford and his father was a bricklayer's labourer. In 1901 the family lived in Glebe Row, Bedlington. By 1911 they had moved to Ridge Terrace, and later were living at 67½ Victoria Terrace. John went to work at the pit as a pony driver, but as his father was his legatee it would appear that he was not married.
